U.K. H.S.E are not party poopers !
The UK Health and Safety Executive release statement regarding works parties.
In an effort to explain that it is not the HSE policy to curtail heavy drinking at the works Christmas Party, so there you have it drinking to excess on a works Christmas party is not a HSE issue. However, I wonder what would happen if a member of staff died as a result of heavy drinking paid for by the company?
Oh blimey I can see yet another risk assessment coming on, whilst we are at it maybe we should also review the anaphylactic shock issues surrounding the free peanuts and don't get me started on cheese and pineapple on those sharp sticks!
