Tree Watering Operative Wanted - Clacton/Frinton on sea or Basildon/Southend

We are looking to hire reliable and environmentally conscious individuals to join us as Tree Care Technicians. This temporary position, from May till September, offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our urban forest while gaining valuable hands-on experience. No prior experience is required as you will be fully trained in the role.

We require operatives to cover the following two areas: 

Clackton/Frinton on sea or Basildon/Southend 

Responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently water newly planted street trees within your specified round, ensuring that each tree receives the appropriate amount of water each and every time
• Monitor and assess tree health, reporting any signs of distress or disease to the designated supervisor.
• Operate and maintain watering equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any issues promptly.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment for both yourself and the public.

Requirments:

• A passion for environmental conservation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
• Good general physical fitness
• Positive attitude
• Prepared to work outdoors in all weathers

Essential Requirements:

• Valid driver’s licence.
