About the CompanySituated in lovely town of Haslemere, Surrey, NJS Tree Surgeons was established in late 2012. NJS provides tree surgery and ground maintenance within a 20 mile radius of Haslemere. Highly qualified small team of climbers, groundsmen are always here to offer services that include crown reduction, thinning, pollarding, hedge maintenance, tree felling, dismantling, woodland thinning, stump removal, logs, woodchip, grounds maintenance, fencing, firewood processing and emergency tree work.
Since the establishment the company has grown significantly in its labour and number of loyal customers. Offering a great quality and always working hard to best of our abilities as a team we hold our values of integrity, professionalism and trustworthiness in everything we do. Such efforts have reflected in the large numbers of customers who come back to us on regular bases every year.
NJS Tree Surgeons offers a complete woodland and tree management service, providing straightforward but bespoke support to landowners in the areas of woodland management, arboriculture and tree surgery.
About the jobWe currently have a vacancy for a full-time arborist/climber ideally with a minimum of two years’ experience in the industry but not essential.
The position would suit a highly motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic applicant looking to develop a career in arboriculture. The right candidate will need to be able to demonstrate safe and competent climbing and working practices, be reliable with excellent timekeeping and be able to work as part of a team.
NJS Tree Surgeons offers a competitive rate of pay, dependent on experience and qualifications and can providing additional training to aid career progression.
Ideally we would like to arrange a paid day trial to assess your ability and fit with the team. This would lead to a more formal trial period.
We would also welcome applications from self employed climbers looking to develop their career.
Preferred Skills• Two years’ experience in the industry highly desirable.
• Relevant NPTC qualifications (i.e: CS 30, 31, 38, and 39).
• Demonstrate safe and competent climbing and working practices.
• Certificate of competence in Brushwood Chipper Operations.
• Must have a full UK driving licence, ideally with towing licence B+E.
